Elin is an award-winning producer, media creator, and host. Her work has been reported on in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Salon, Rolling Stone Magazine, among others.

Elin co-wrote, produced and co-hosted The Turning, an award-winning documentary podcast that intimately explores insular groups with blurry power dynamics. The series charted in the top 25 on Apple Podcasts, made The New York Times’ top ten podcasts of the year, and was named the No. 1 podcast of 2023 by The Atlantic.

Elin is also the host of the podcast America’s Crime Lab, which follows cases solved by cutting-edge DNA technology that is rapidly changing the nature of detective work. The series has charted in the top 40 true crime podcasts on Apple Podcasts and tells the suspenseful and emotional stories of how crimes are being solved today.

Elin’s work has earned the Livingston Award for International Reporting and a Gracie Award for Best Entertainment Podcast. Other audio series she’s hosted include Break in a Cold Case and Comebacks from the Cold.

Elin also hosts a weekly YouTube channel with millions of views focused on simple living and minimalism.

Her work is informed by her previous career as a psychology researcher and therapist, having earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology and published research across a number of high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
